Beagle with Broken Back Uses Wheels to Walk
my name is Kate Donovan and my dog Bilbo
Baggins is a ton of white beagle and his
home wheels just before his first
birthday my husband of my son took him
out for a walk and Bilbo got distracted
and actually ran towards a sound which
was unfortunately on a gorge track and
got hit by a car and he’d actually
fractured his spine at that particular
point they didn’t know whether the
spinal cord had been severed and they
didn’t know whether he was going to
survive after a discussion Brendon and I
decided that it would be kinder if we
were to put him down we told that the
VATS that that was what we decided if it
was going to be kinder to him that we’d
be prepared to let him go she said well
hold on one moment just don’t don’t give
up on him yet there may be something we
can do and he proceeded the he decided
that this surgery would be the best
option and that we were to give him a
chance and we researched ways of getting
him to walk again and they thought that
and we found some walking wheels so we
could take him out for walks and he
loved it he was a just exactly the same
as he was before he had his accident
it’s playing he was happy and then we
started noticing that he was he got a
deep pain we could build that he was
actually starting to move his legs
a lady called Donna Rhett to turn
contacted me again on Facebook and said
look you know we’d really like to help
and they set up a GoFundMe for bilbo
it’s get Bilbo better and they raised
just over a thousand pounds and he’s
been having acupuncture further hydros
hydrotherapy which has made a huge
difference he’s now putting his paws on
the floor still supported by his walking
wheels but he is now using his leg
properly you need to go freakin in the
minute we love him so much
we’d basically do anything for her when
he had his accident I thought my heart
was gonna break in two and I wouldn’t
know what to do with it at him now I
hope that Bilbo will walk again in the
next six months to a year
in fact we’re positive he will will make
sure
