Having a Big Dog in a Small Apartment | Owning a Siberian Husky!

welcome back everyone and if you’re new
here hi there I’m destiny and this is my
darling Channel we’re determination
drive I post every other day so if you

video is gonna be all about having a big
dog in a small apartment and this is the
big dog he’s not that big yet but if you
watched some of my last videos he was so
much tinier but now it takes me all my
strength and God to pick him up
but I have a couple of things that I
want to talk about when it comes to
having a dog like this in a 600 in like
20 foot apartment there’s about 10
things that I’m gonna give you so go
ahead and keep watching he’s not gonna
let me put him down now I wanna do this
video because I know I am one who
searches everything so I literally
before I got him I searched about okay
people who have large dogs and small
permits small apartment owners who have
large dogs stuff like that I’m just
gonna do this video for anyone who’s
just as curious as I when it comes to
owning big puppies and small apartments
let’s jump right into number one larger
dogs need a lot of space to run and let
me show you real quick look at these big
big pots I know that he has those big
paws because he’s made for doing a lot
of exercise you know so when puppies are
little usually they like to do their run
either when they’re excited when they
have to pee cash is really big so when
he needs space he needs space so I would
suggest when playtime happens with some
fragile things in the closet because you
don’t want them to get broken in the
midst of the rush oh my gosh you guys
look at him he just refuses to like
leave me Oh
number 3 prepared for lots of running up
and down stairs out ninh side doors with
a larger die forgive me I probably got
some chicken on my mouth floor surge
that’s taken shake
anyways so running with a big dog it’s
gonna happen because if you’re like me
I’m like 130 pounds give or take the
steak and shake that I just ate he is so
big and heavy that he literally pulls me
and I fly down the stairs with him there
is no walking because he’s just so big
so I try to like get a harness for him
that way he’s not choking when I’m
trying to like control him so that helps
when you have a larger dog especially if
you live in a small place with a top
floor apartment you want to make sure
that you have control of your puppy so
you want to be able to control him while
you’re running down the stairs number
four is to prepare for lots of
questioning from the neighbors and the
leasing stone in the beginning we
weren’t supposed to have him here but we
mentioned to them that there was another
husky downstairs and I’ve seen in
people’s white and he was downstairs
pooping anyway so we prepared for a lot
of questions be prepared for a lot of Oz
and use from the little kids the leasing
is down you get to know your dog because
obviously if you manage to have them say
okay have a big dog in the apartment
then they’re gonna keep an eye on you
because you’ve got that special dog so
they know about us because we’ve got the
little husky number 5 is that plane can
be kind of tough when you have a larger
dog in a small apartment this kind of
ties back into number one because of the
spatial issue he’s always trying to play
he’s always bringing us his ball he
always wants us to throw it he runs
around the house or he’ll play tug of
work and he just makes so much thumpety
thump-thump like he is just it sounds
like a boulder rolling across the floor
and I feel so bad when he’s playing cuz
I’m like these neighbors are gonna
wonder why we’re making so much of a
ruckus but it’s because he’s so big that
you know he’s not even that big right
now he’s only 35 pounds he’s gonna be
maximum 60 pounds so already he’s making
the thumpety thumbs so yeah you want to
make sure that you have maybe some
lighter active toys like bones are great
give him a bone and he will do it for
hours
I was suggest finding another place to
play sometimes we take him running with
us in the mornings to the park otherwise
I have parents who have yards like my
grandparents
have a backyard my dad’s have a
fenced-in backyard you just take him
over there sometime number six and
smells will linger so much longer in the
smaller apartment when you had a big dog
who had a big poo literally when he
passes gas you guys this lethal is what
Kyle will say and it really is because
you can’t breathe or anything and kind
of being in such a small space it’ll go
everywhere so I don’t even allow him in
the room really because once he lets go
it’s gonna be there for quite some time
it literally permeates the wall yes so
you want to make sure you have some
scented things a some type of diffuser
but otherwise yeah you want to make sure
you’re prepared for that crack a window
something cuz you is not gonna be
breathing for a good 20 minutes I guess
you could run away to the closet like I
do because I’m so sensitive to smell
that I literally am hurt by this my his
gases I’m so hurt number seven is be
wary that smaller dogs don’t get
bothered by your bigger dog we were told
to just keep him at a distance again
because we’re not supposed to have him
here because he’s an aggressive breed I
mean he is but only when he needs to be
otherwise he’s a big baby like he’ll sit
with me forever
number eight is that he is going to take
up space we have very narrow doors one
of our couches is his not ours anymore
is his so that’s one thing that you
might want to take into consideration he
runs into things all the time just cuz
there’s not enough space for him you
know so it’s kind of a good thing to
just when you’re not in your moon chair
to put it up against the wall when you
have your dinner chairs out maybe put
them to the side because poor baby’s
gonna run in chip is tooth or something
number nine is giving him a bath give
him a really big dog a really big bath
in a really small apartment it is so
hard yo and it may not just be small
apartment it could be small bathrooms
it’s just the fact that he himself is a
towel I just
my bath and now I said because I had to
get clean and I look sad because I went
in the wool dryer didn’t like me I
didn’t like him

pretty much so when he gets in the
bathtub it’s not like you can just take
a little tiny dog put him in the tub
pick him out of the tub no you have to
literally lug his butt in there once
he’s in there he takes up most of the
showers so it’s kind of hard to you know
turn him around and things like that to
get his but once he gets out whole
bathroom rugs are soaked towel soaked
because he really didn’t dry him well
enough because he’s kind of a towel like
himself so he absorbs all that water
into his furry first so that’s one thing
to think about how you’re gonna manage
the bathroom situation it’s kind of a
struggle in a smaller space oh and blow
drying your dog is easiest number 10 is
kind of a good thing that people will
likely not bother you when they see you
with such a large dog in a small
apartment especially in a place that we
live people can be a little strange but
when I’m walking outside now with cash I
feel a lot better because I know if
someone tries to touch me he’s gonna go
here so that’s great I don’t want no one
to talk to me nobody looking at me no
way touching me and he’s the perfect
companion for this so yeah that’s all I
have right now for having a big dog in a
