Luna’s Obedience Training – Nora’s Dog Training Company
hello and welcome to Nora’s dog training
company today we are here with Jeff and
Luna and today Luna is going to be
demonstrating some of her abilities of
her on leash obedience commands Jeff is
right now holding a standard 6 foot web
training leash and he keeps the bulk of
the leash in his right hand he folds it
neatly in his right hand which leaves
his left hand free to do any Corrections
and the correction here at school is a
light tug and release on the training
equipment right now Luna is sitting very
nice at Jeff’s left which is where all
our training begins and where all our
dogs are expected to sit when we are
standing stationary the very first
command that we are going to demonstrate
is the heeling command that healing is
just properly walking it is not forging
ahead or lagging behind and the command
is Luna heel right now Luna has a job to
do and that’s to focus on Jeff whenever
Jeff Jeff stops his feet she is trained
to sit automatically very nice beautiful
the next command that we’re going to do
is the stay command it is a one-word
command to stay any open-palm one inch
from her nose stay Jeff only goes a
little bit away from Luna because we’re
still working on her self-control you
can strengthen her self-control by going
farther away from her and lengthening
the time right now we’re starting at 30
seconds which Jeff is going to walk
around Luna to add distraction and make
her stay this helps with her discipline
over time you want to work from 30
seconds to 3 minutes beautiful now Luna
is expected to get a command and they’re
gonna go off heeling again who are you

nice automatic set as you can see she’s
making great eye contact with Jeff she’s
wagging her tail she enjoys this
training all right the next command
we’re gonna do is the same one stay only
this one we’re gonna show the recalls
yeah he goes only a few feet in front of
her he’s gonna make her hold it and she
he is going in a light tone boys tell
her to come home look how happy she is
and she did exactly what she’s supposed
to do sit right in front and wait for
her next command which is to heal
what are you but that was beautiful for
job enough all right the next command
that we are going to demonstrate is the
down command this is from heel position
it’s an open palm hand straight to the
ground with the one-word command tooth
down yeah good so as you saw it Jeff
just gave a light tug and release on the
training collar toward the ground
because alumina wasn’t doing it she’s
gonna do this to you home she’s gonna
test so I’m glad she did on camera so
you know what to do when she does that
to you Jeff is gonna call her out of
that oh no you know what I don’t know if
that was my mistake but we’re gonna
demonstrate it one more time we’re gonna
try that one more time

very nice huh I mean a little stubborn
but as you saw she did do it it’s just
gonna take time in patience
now Jeff is gonna call her out of that
you know come very nice come and sit
beautiful and the last command that we
are going to demonstrate is the down
from a distance so this time Jeff is
going to put her in a sit stay good he’s
not gonna go very far from her at all
and he’s going to keep the bulk of the
leash in his left hand use his right
hand

I think Lunas telling us that we’re done
but she has done a beautiful job at
school look at that happy girl we are so
