Teaching Doberman Pinscher SAFETY Commands – HAPPY 10K
today’s a great day I get to hang out
with my buddy here my best friend
Cruz the Doberman and I want to thank
you guys for subscribing because this is
our 10,000 subscriber moment this is the
video where we celebrate 10,000
subscribers and we get to be a bronze
youtuber which means really like really
nothing YouTube doesn’t give me an award
they don’t do anything for me but it
feels like an achievement for me and
Cruz we’ve done it buddy we did it we
did it we made 10,000 of them
there’s my boy right there are you happy
he’s a little skittish right now tell
you why for my other video we just
filmed a test of this generic taser gun
and we shot a pumpkin with this generic
taser as a car can porch know the porch
porch
crews no porch go that porch porch go
the porch now this morning I’m not
coming out in the road they didn’t obey
my command to go to the porch good boy
okay good boy God didn’t you cuz I was
on the other side of the road rarely get
cars through here we’re at a dead-end
Road here so we rarely get any vehicles
come up through here so we practice as
often as we can I tell him to go to the
porch when a car comes assuming that
he’s on the papas on the side of the
road the porch is on and he was but we
had never been in the position of him
being on the opposite side of the road
as me so that kind of freaked him out a
little bit at least he didn’t run into
the road when I was yelling for him to
go to the porch that’s good he had
enough sense not to do that so we got to
work on our command on that a little bit
more cuz that threw him off the porch
command usually gets him he goes right
to it but throw him off a little bit
porch good boy
he works perfect having a plan and some
safety commands to go by is really
really important if you’ve got a
Doberman there’s a big dog and he might
end up in situations that he likes to be
mischievous and he does you like to be
mischievous mischievous whatever you
want to call it and you need a set of
commands where he’ll pay attention to
you and do what you’re wanting to do to
be in safety so as you get your Doberman
and you start working with him the first
thing you want to do is develop safety
commands you want to develop the kind of
commands that keep him safe ours works
you know us for a so when a car would
come I could tell him to go to the
portion he would go now you want to work
on come we’re gonna heal you want to
work on leave it and those are things
that you’re gonna need to do to teach
him to be safe and to be sociable in
environments you may not understand
exactly what’s going on and those are
really really important commands that’s
the first thing you want to do when you
get your puppy when you first get a
Doberman at whatever age he is you don’t
start working on commands that keep him
safe and keep him in trouble frankly so
those are those are I think the first
ones come you know you only want to
praise him maybe at first give him
treats and things like that
you want to work on some kind of command
that lets him know to stay out of that
road to get away from whatever it is now
iris course irises porch and you’re just
gonna probably gonna be different
because your setup of your yard or
however you have him I know most people
would probably have a fenced-in yard in
the front but we only take him out front
when we’re with him the backyards
finished the end the front yards not
look at the people he’s camera-shy thing
B so we take him out front with us and
there’s rarely a car because we’re on a
dead-end Road so the porch command works
really good for us was just that was the
first time we were on a different side
of the road as him and he was a little
confused he did okay but he made it so
the come command is very very important
to reinforce to him that and just mega
important that he comes to you every
time he’ll is a really good one that’s
very difficult to teach her
dog to walk heel it’s hard thing to do
and he’s doing better at it and the we
visited a tractor supply a few times and
he gets excited he wants to get ahead of
us so we we used that as a time to work
on it make him come back he’s smelling
in the air he’s enjoying this fall day
and then it is so beautiful in the fall
here the leaves are turning and in West
Virginia I want to say it’s yes I am
prejudiced about West Virginia in the
fall it’s the most beautiful place on
earth and that’s just a fact
[Music]
all right leave it Hey leave it sir come
true
[Music]
okay
come freeze proof cop
man to teach you mist of wait sit wait
tons of weight and walk away from him
test his ability to be patient okay
come on there you go some popcorn
he likes popcorn popcorn is a treat
[Music]
hey you teaching with a slow progression
you teach them how to fit there’s lots
of videos to teach you how to fit and
that’s a longer conversation maybe I’ll
do one this each you talk to fit then
you start teaching him to wait if you
need to increase the vendor intervals
and increase the time a little bit at a
time until now cruise can wait for a
very long time and he does really good
so the point of this video is to teach
your dog safety teach him tricks and and
work with him in the interest of keeping
him safe so that’s what we want we want
a happy safe healthy Doberman Pinscher
and really any dog a buddy right ain’t
the fall beautiful out here
alright go run around you still going
for that rabbit there’s a rabbit lives
out here too he box their cheeks his
rabbit
