World’s Fattest Dachshund, Obie Starts Weight Loss Program
studies from recent years claim that
obesity is becoming an epidemic across
the United States
and that seems to apply to pets as well
take OB a very large male dachshund that
weighs in at 77 pounds his new owner
Norah Vanetta recently adopted him and
has set up a Facebook page to help OB
achieve weight loss success but it may
not be an easy task as the five year old
pooch needs to lose between 30 and 40
pounds to be considered healthy the
Facebook page is titled Biggest Loser
Doxey edition and Vanetta is hoping to
raise money to help with the dogs costly
fitness and dietary plan Hobie will not
be able to exercise until some pounds
are shed so in the meantime he is
undergoing hydrotherapy and is on a
tailored diet earlier this year
another obese dog had a Facebook page
set up Mabel is a beagle mix initially
weighing at a hefty 67 pounds the
massive dog was accepted into a
weight-reduction rehabilitation program
and fans were able to watch her progress
